Family Photo Day

Ever try to keep 14 eyes facing forward? It isn't an easy task,
that's for sure, especially when all but two of those eyes are under
7. Somehow we managed to get all of the Lisa-side blood cousins
together and smiling and wearing clean clothes, which in and of itself
is a miracle fit for Papal sanction.

Not So Washable

So we decided it was time for Johnny to learn how to hunt... No, actually this is the aftermath of Hurricane Baby after you remove the makeup and other messy things from accessible areas of the bathroom. What is a boy to do? Find the colored hair gel that his older brother usually sports and smear it all over the bathroom. It's like finger painting, only stickier. Now, where did that darn cat go?

Summer Loving

What would summer be without a little pool time? Not much fun for me,
I'll tell you that.

What about me?

Just so you don't think we have forgotten that we have other children...

Matty returned to his Hapkido studies today. We had taken three weeks off for vacation and grandma-time but it was finally time to get back on the mat for Matt. He is pretty good at it, but taken so much time off he might not be ready for the next belt test next month. It is okay, though, since he is still comparitively young. As long as certain other members of his class don't pass him.......

Ta Da!!!

Now, it may not look like much to the average person, but to us it is a welcomed sight.

Here is Johnny showing off his wash-board (okay, wash cloth) abs featuring the newly closing former hole in that precious tummy.  Don't worry, it will get more "normal" as it heals properly.  He should be left with only a very small dot in the center when all is said and done.

Pull the Plug

No, not his pacifier. That went out long ago...

Johnny has been given a clean bill of health and as of Thursday his gastric tube, or plug, has been removed. This evening (or tomorrow depending) he will be unwrapped like a Christmas present and will unveil his new tummy to the world. Pics will surely be posted when they are taken.

Welcome!

Welcome to the new Blog feature! In trying to keep this site more current and interesting, which includes making it easier for us, we have changed the Blog. I hope you find the new feature as interesting to read as it is easy to maintain. Even better, as we progress in this new feature there may be the option to make comments right in the blog. As far as past posts, I am not going to re-write everything this time to this new format. If you are interested in reading them, they are still posted at www.lovemymonsters.com/blogs.htm Enjoy!
